Camping Trip

at the Monkey Tree

The gang all met at the Tamar Bridge at 11.00 on a rather grey and miserable Friday morning. Then in good spirit headed off to the Monkey Tree camp site. After an uneventful and thankfully mostly dry journey we arrived. The caravans allocated, stuff unpacked. It was all over to Johns caravan for lunch. Thanks John. Scary and Leanne arrived later after leaving the kids at Grandmas. All showered and cleaned we set off to the clubhouse. Trevor and Sue arrived shortly after and sooned joined us there. A phone call to Ian from Lynn to say she was lost, resulted in him earning his "Road Captain" title. Off he went in search of the lost Lynn. They both arrived about a half hour later. The quiz night was won by Ed, Leanne, Sarah and Ian. Well Done them. Alan, Tassles, Sunflower and Vectra arrived in the evening to say hello and join in the fun.

On Saturday we went to Cambourne Rugby club to discuss our rally next year. The evening found us all looking forward to the nights entertainment. This was a Blues Brothers Tribute band. Very good singers and Funny as well. Can`t be bad. They seemed to take great delight in picking on Ian, who took it all in fun.

Sunday found us all awake warm and dry and in good spirits, off to breakfast, then back to the caravan to pack. The weather was wet and horrible. Not good biking weather.
